NTK, an NGK Spark Plugs brand, has expanded its product family with the release of over 6500 SKUs in more than 80 product types. The NTK brand now includes a full line of technical sensors complete with the same original equipment (OE) standards and testing as NTK’s oxygen sensors. With a premium line designed to cover more than 95% of vehicles on the road, here's a glimpse into the new NGK products that could be available for your vehicle:
Accelerator Pedal Position Sensors - Measure movement of the gas pedal to determine requested engine/vehicle speed.
Air Charge Temperature Sensors - Allow the ECU to make continuous adjustments to the engines air/fuel mixture for maximum fuel efficiency.
Ambient Air Temperature Sensors - Measure outside air temperature and is used by the heating and cooling control system, along with other vehicle cabin sensors, to control temperature and blower speed.
Automatic Headlight Sensors - Monitor the ambient light level to turn on the headlights when there is a certain level of darkness.
Battery Temperature Sensors - Measure the temperature of the battery and adjusts voltage to help ensure full battery charge depending on the ambient temperature of your battery.
Brake Pedal Position Sensors - Monitor the movement or position of the brake pedal to control anti-lock brake operation, brake lights, and turn off cruise control if applied.
Engine Camshaft/Crankshaft Position Sensors - Report the precise location of the camshaft/crankshaft to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) to determine engine mechanical operation.
Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensors - Measure the temperature of the coolant.
Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Pressure Sensors - Measure and compare the ambient air pressure to the positive pressure that should be in a functioning EGR system, verifying proper EGR valve operation.
Fuel Tank Pressure Sensors - Report the ambient pressure in the fuel tank and evaporative emission system so that the PCM may detect evaporative system leaks.
Ignition Knock Sensors - Monitor vibrations caused by engine knock or detonation.
Manifold Absolute Pressure Sensor (MAP) - Provide manifold pressure information to the Engine Control Unit (ECU) to determine the air mass flow rate and required fuel for optimum combustion and ignition timing.
Parking Aid Sensors - Ultrasonic sensors monitor the area around the vehicle to detect obstacles and aid drivers in avoiding collisions.
Suspension Ride Height Sensors - Measure the distance between the road and vehicle to properly maintain the vehicle's height.
Throttle Position Sensors (TPS) - Report the angle of the throttle plate to the PCM for optimal engine operation under all engine load conditions.
Water In Fuel Sensors - Report to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) when water has been detected in the fuel system.
Wheel Speed Sensors - Monitor rotational speed for anti-lock brake function, stability control and traction control. |
